With a smart, open-plan layout that lets the lounge and dining area flow seamlessly from the kitchen, this project was all about maximising space and creating balance - achieving a sense of luxury without overwhelming its footprint.
A Calm, Modern Colour Palette
The client had a clear vision: a calm, cohesive interior that felt modern yet welcoming. We began with a foundation of muted greys, then layered in soft mustard and rich teal accents to bring warmth and depth. This palette complements the apartment’s natural light and urban views, creating a space that feels effortlessly contemporary.
Design Tricks for Small Spaces
To enhance the sense of openness, we used strategically placed mirrors throughout the apartment. These reflect light, expand the visual space, and add a subtle touch of sophistication - a simple design technique that makes a powerful difference in smaller apartments.
In the living area, a striking animal skin rug in tones of grey, white, and black anchors the space. It introduces texture and ties the colour palette together, adding dimension without feeling over-styled.
Comfort Meets Function in the City
A tall floor lamp in the corner adds both form and function, creating a cosy reading nook that invites guests to slow down and unwind. Paired with a perfectly placed coffee table, it turns the living area into a flexible, comfortable space for relaxing or entertaining - ideal for Airbnb guests and city dwellers alike.
